ARI - Don’t is out NOW on Help Yourself / La Tebwa.

Don’t even think skipping this press release.

(We’re really sorry, but we’re doing this for your own good - don’t ask. And don’t forget to press play now.)

You don’t know who Ari is. And we won’t tell you, because we don’t like doing things like the others.

So you will know more about his last EP in the following lines.

This EP’s eponymous title-track, Don’t, is a wonderful musical mapping of how the daedalus of human denial works: joining an army of synthesizers and electronic drums which don’t make you think about DJ Sneak making glitch music, a synthetic female voice repeatedly tells you NOT to do things.

The result being that you will feel like DOING it every time: think about it as a techno disallowance-driven Pavlovian test at 133 bpm. (You tell me NOT to do something? Fuck you, I’ll do it instead.)

The second track, Bug, with its slower, ketamine-fueled Boys Noize FATAL ERROR – GURU MEDITATION groove and its broken-down mellotron strings might as well be the national anthem of a post-fallout nation.

Warning: don’t get lost in Supernova’s warm synthetic brasses, in its dreamy, Richard David James-ish spaced-out vibes. Don’t fist-pump all alone in your room listening to the TVL version of Don’t, a hyper-heavy, 4X4 technoid behemoth.

And don’t listen to french dancefloor myth Lifelike and upcoming sensation IOWA’s remixes: the first being an unstoppable 90s techno revisitation of the title track, the second being the grooviest way to remember what you DON’T do in a club…

…and then do it, because you tell me not to do something? I’ll totally do it instead.

So – have a nice listen and…here’s the most important warning we’re going to give you today:

don’t ever follow advices from a music press release.

Just three months ago The Supermen Lovers has taught the dancing world a lesson by releasing, in his latest album Between the Ages, two amazing, brazenly club-oriented tracks: Say no more and Let me show you. (The first being the most exciting love letter to italo-disco of the last few years, the latter being an astonishing mix of nu-disco bass, stadium-sized samples and gangsta- movie vibes.)

For this Fantasma Disco EP monsieur TSL has asked some of the most inspiring and talented producers around to haunt his EP (just like ghosts) and give their spin on these two tracks: Jupiter, A.N.D.Y., Veitengruber, Le Loup give their interpretation of The Supermen Lovers’ songs.

Now, people, Say no more and Let me show you everything The Supermen Lovers has prepared for you.

Beginnings

Everybody knows that every end contains a new beginning — and viceversa. Thank god.

Beginnings are the best. You remember the first months you’ve spent with a girl, not the 5 th year you’ve been together.

In FieldsBeginnings (meaning both the EP and the title track) feel just like that. They make you feel good like a brand-new start.

As you listen to this record you’ll find out that there are hundreds, thousands, millions of beginnings in it.

One second you’re sure that it sounds like David Byrne has finished an instrumental for Talking Heads after drinking too much amaretto, one second later it reminds you of that spacey disco record you bought at Rough Trade in 1986 — and you feel good like a brand new start.

Beginnings are the best. You remember the first months you’ve spent with a woman, not the 5th year you’ve been together.

Well, unless it’s La Belle.

La Belle 006 // Rodion & Khan - Discoteca Romana is OUT NOW!

The Bacchanalia was a religious festival in honor of the wine god Dionysus (called Bacchus by the Romans).

Even since old times the effects of mixing alcohol and lots of people together were known: you can consider these wild and excessive religious rites as alcohol and music fueled orgies involving any willing citizen with no limits of class and age.

(Diei iocosus sermo*: When the Romans started bacchanalia up around 200 B.C., they quickly became so popular that they were held five times a month after just some years.)

So – trust disco emperor Rodion, mister Khan, berlin-based ex-Captain Comatose member, and their Discoteca Romana.

They know what they’re doing. They’re gonna drug you with some majestic stuff: the classiest, most addictive grooves ever.

Trust the sweet-wine stained groove, the luscious atmospheres, the naked discopop vocals of the title track Discoteca Romana, featuring the vocal performance by Andrea, lead singer from italian band Le Rose, and Cascao from Cascao & Lady Manu. Take another sip of aquavit and trust the slow, pelvic, pounding rhythm of the imperial debauchery hymn If you wanna get higher. And finally leave it to Let’s motor to vocode your libido up and bring you downover and over and over. (Et repetens iterumque iterumque iterumque.)

Don’t forget giving up to UK-superstar duo The C90s and surrender, Alesia-style, to the silk vibes of their Discoteca Romana remix.

Surrender to Rodion & Khan, the messiahs of imperial-disco.

(Told you, the Romans have a MILLENNIA-lasting experience when it comes about talking good times.)

Dura lex, sed sex.
